From the week commencing October 17th, we will begin to roll out our scheduled mints of all ten Grassland Creature NFTs. Each week we will release a new creature with the maximum mint numbers set at 1,000.

It is important to note that due to the relative scarcity of the in-game minting of Kyanite Crystals over time, these mints are not being created with the intention of instantly selling out. Unless some surprisingly large investor swoops in and goes ham on them, we feel there will be opportunity for all of our current community members to mint at least one of the 10,000 First Editions as they become available.

The crafting (blending) recipe will remain the same for these first 10 Creatures – 50 Kyanite Crystals, 1 Hastening Essence, and 1 WAX – but the price of the ingredient crafting recipes using Kyanite will be adjusted weekly (scheduled every Monday) to account for shift in the price of the token. Ingredients crafted using Components will likely stay the same, though may adjust slightly if there becomes a huge fluctuation in floor price on the secondary market. This ensures that ingredients crafted using Kyanite and Components will stay roughly consistent for the duration of the mints.

With no current oracle program in place to auto-adjust the blends’ Kyanite costs, for now the cost of the Chemist crafting recipes for KC’s and HE’s using Kyanite will be adjusted manually every Monday for the duration of these Mints. If that weekly timeline creates wild pricing discrepancies during the course of each week, we will adjust that plan and announce it appropriately.

Component prices from the Black Market blends will, for now, remain the same for the duration of these Mints, but may be adjusted (with appropriate announcements) for the same reasons.

A Lore vignette for “The Black Market” will be dropping very soon here in our StarShipWiki. Their place in the Lore, practically speaking, provides an opportunity for us to reduce the oversaturation of Common and Uncommon Components in our secondary market. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen the economy of Deploy StarShip, and to declutter your inventory. The Black Market will gladly accept your scraps in exchange for the opportunity to generate life itself!
